The talented cast of High Steppin’ Country was under a new spotlight this week! Grand Strand TODAY‘s Halley Murrow stopped by Lakewood’s Oceanfront Amphitheater on Monday to give the community a taste of the 2-hour high energy show.
Cast members had a chance to share their own stories and ambitions on the live 1-hour lifestyle show, which aired on WMBF News. They also gave viewers some insight into what it takes to put the show on year after year for Lakewood Camping Resort guests & the community.

High Steppin’ Country has wowed audiences along the Grand Strand since 1976. This season, catch the show every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday through August 3rd. The show will also return to the Grand Strand’s only Oceanfront Amphitheater for two special Labor Day weekend performances on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.
The show is FREE to all Lakewood Camping Resort guests. Tickets can be reserved at the Information Center with official Lakewood Camping Resort wristbands.
High Steppin’ Country is also open to the public! General admission tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. There’s also a special rate of $12 for groups of 10 or more.
The entertainment doesn’t end with the summer, Lakewood Camping Resort is also home to the Grand Strand’s only Halloween show, Ghoul Vibrations. When the High Steppin’ Country season ends, it’s time to start preparing for this spook-tacular spectacle, which is part of Lakewood’s Hall-O-Wood Weekends line-up.
Every weekend in October, Lakewood Camping Resort is transformed into a Halloween haven with trick-or-treating, costume contests, hayrides, a magical pumpkin patch and more family-friendly fun!
