Star-Spangled Summer Fun: Lakewood Camping Resort’s Annual Independence Day Parade
This Fourth of July, Lakewood Camping Resort is gearing up for an incredible celebration that you won’t want to miss, including our annual parade! Participants such as local veterans, Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina, local pageant royalty, Horry County Fire Rescue, and Lakewood employees and guests will be lined up down Ocean Boulevard and Main Street.
The parade isn’t just a moment—It’s a chance to come together, make memories, and celebrate our nation’s independence with friends, old and new. Whether you’re a visitor or a local, join us at Lakewood Camping Resort for a Fourth of July to remember. Let’s celebrate freedom and community together.

Lakewood is excited to support Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina during this year’s parade.Please help Lakewood Camping Resort and the Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina bridge the gap in the needs of our area Veterans! Join the 4th of July Parade and donate one of the items needed to help the VA Clinic in Myrtle Beach fill in the gaps of our Veteran’s needs when VA-appropriated funding can’t be used. Bridging these gaps helps provide Veterans with comfort and healing in their greatest time of need. Look for the Blue Star Mothers and their truck in the parade and hand them your donations as they drive by!
We are asking for socks, t-shirts, underwear, sweatpants, sweatshirts(all sizes, any colors), protein drinks(Ensure,Boost, Premier), protein bars, cans of tuna and chicken, small packs of peanut butter crackers, trail mix, nuts, beef jerky, Slim Jims, Dinty Moore micro dinners, and Spam.

Golf Cart & Bicycle Decorating Contest
Show off your creativity & compete to win great prizes in our golf cart & bicycle decorating contest. Entrants will ride in the parade & winners will be announced at the awards ceremony before the Block Party on July 4th. Register your decorated golf cart or bicycle in the Information Center starting Wednesday, June 26.
