Let us see how festive you can get by decorating your yards for the Fourth of July holiday. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded for campsites and 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded for Annual Lease/Vacation Rentals. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at the Sand and Surf Stage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th.
To Decorate: Sign up to decorate by registering on the Lakewood Camping Resort Mobile App. Registration will open at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, and closes at Noon Tuesday, July 2. Download the app here: http://onelink.to/lakewood
To Judge: This year, are the judging panel! Please visit the Lakewood App to vote for your favorite yard. One vote per division only, please. Voting will open at noon on Tuesday, July 2nd, and will close at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th.

Participation Details: Sign up in the Information Center before 9 p.m. July 1st.
Check-in starts at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Sand N Surf Stage. Contest begins at 9 a.m. Judging begins at 12 p.m.
One person on your team MUST be at the registration. Structures must be completed by the deadline time of noon. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday, July 4th at 6:30 pm.

Get ready for a swashbuckling adventure at our Treasure Island Pirate Party! Join us for a morning of fun-filled activities designed to thrill young buccaneers from ages 3 to 12.
Embark on an exciting journey as you bounce around in our bounce house, then unleash your inner treasure hunter as you sift through the sand in search of hidden riches. But beware, there may be some surprises lurking beneath the surface!
Refuel with delicious snacks fit for a crew of daring pirates, and gather ’round for story time with Pugsley the Pirate, who will regale you with tales of high-seas escapades and buried treasures.
But wait, there’s more! Throughout the event, be prepared for a few unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on your toes and make this a vacation to remember.
And don’t worry, parents can join in on the fun for free with a paying child! So, hoist the Jolly Roger and set sail for a pirate adventure like no other.
Admission is $25.00 per child.

Show off those pet fashions in our Patriotic Pooch Portrait Contest.
Bring your pet to the pet photo booth in the Information Center. Once you have captured the perfect pet photo, submit your entry to [email protected]. There will be first, second, and third-place winners. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on July 4 at 6:30 pm. At the Sand and Surf Stage.
The photo booth will be open from 12 noon until 11 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 1 pm until 3 pm on Thursday.
All entries must be taken in the Lakewood pet photo booth.
High Steppin’ Country, Lakewood Camping Resort’s Original variety show begins at 8:30 p.m. in Lakewood’s Theater by the Sea. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Although the show is free to guests of Lakewood Camping Resort, you must have a ticket to enter! View ticket information here.
How many Oreos can you stack? Lakewood guests are invited to come compete in this fun skill competition. Prizes will be awarded in the following age divisions.

Photogenic Competition
We will also have a photogenic contest. To enter this contest, submit a 5X7 or larger color photo. These must be submitted no later than 8 p.m., July 2. Photos must be delivered in person. The child must compete in the pageant to be entered into the photogenic contest. Photos will be available for pick up after 10 pm Thursday, July 4th.

Lakewood Ministry hosts weekly Hayrides on Wednesdays throughout the summer! Hop onto our open-air wagon for a cruise around the resort. After your ride, put your toes in the sand & get ready to dance the night away during Lakewood Ministry’s Beach Party! It’s all fun & games for the entire family every Wednesday & Sunday throughout the summer.
Enjoy this long-running tradition of floats, beauty Queens, decorated golf carts, marching units, and more! The parade will run south along Ocean Boulevard, turn at the outdoor pool, and end at the Trading Post. Decorate your bike or golf cart & ride in the parade to be eligible for great prizes! Keep your eyes on the sky at 1:00 as the South Carolina tradition of Salute from the Shore passes over Lakewood.
You’ll catch a glimpse of the F-16s and a C-17 as they head south to Beaufort.

Big Daddy Splash is a cannonball contest for men aged 18 and above. This exciting event will take place at the Outdoor Pool on Thursday, July 4 at 2 p.m. Participants will take turns showing off their best cannonballs, with judges awarding points for style, technique, and splash size. It’s sure to be a fun and thrilling event for everyone involved, so don’t miss out!
