High Steppin’ Country, Lakewood Camping Resort’s Original variety show begins at 8:30 p.m. in Lakewood’s Theater by the Sea. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Although the show is free to guests of Lakewood Camping Resort, you must have a ticket to enter! View ticket information here.
Let us see how festive you can get by decorating your yards for the Fourth of July holiday. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded for campsites and 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be awarded for Annual Lease/Vacation Rentals. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at the Sand and Surf Stage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th.

To Judge: This year, are the judging panel! Please visit the Lakewood App to vote for your favorite yard. One vote per division only, please. Voting will open at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 2nd and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th.

Photogenic Competition
We will also have a photogenic contest. To enter this contest, submit a 5X7 or larger color photo. These must be submitted no later than 6 pm, July 1st. You are welcome to deliver pictures in person or email them to: [email protected]. The child must compete in the pageant to be entered into the photogenic contest. Photos will be available for pick up after 10 pm Tuesday, July 4th.

Big Daddy Splash is a cannonball contest for men aged 18 and above. This exciting event will take place at the Outdoor Pool on Monday, July 3rd at 1 p.m. Participants will take turns showing off their best cannonballs, with judges awarding points for style, technique, and splash size. It’s sure to be a fun and thrilling event for everyone involved, so don’t miss out!

Enjoy this long-running tradition of floats, beauty Queens, decorated golf carts, marching units, and more! The parade will run south along Ocean Boulevard, turn at the outdoor pool and end at the Trading Post. Decorate your bike or golf cart & ride in the parade to be eligible for great prizes! Keep your eyes on the sky at 1:00 as the South Carolina tradition of Salute from the Shore passes over Lakewood.
You’ll catch a glimpse of the F-16s and a C-17 as they head south to Beaufort.
Who will be our 2023 Apple Pie Baking Champion? Bring the pie and recipe to the Information Center for check-in on Monday, July 4th between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Judging will begin at 2 p.m.
