Weekend Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications for all positions include the ability to work as a team member within this department AND all other departments, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with good record, working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, including pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Lakewood Camping Resort is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the maintenance activities of our camping facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of all equipment, facilities, and grounds to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functioning of all equipment and facilities.
  3. Conduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  4. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or services.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  6. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  7. Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
  8. Monitor and manage departmental budget, including expenses for supplies, equipment, and contracted services.
  9. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours calls, and take necessary actions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  10. Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and accountability within the maintenance department.
  11. May be asked to perform other duties in other departments as assigned by supervisor or manager

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in maintenance or related field preferred.

– Proven experience in maintenance supervision or a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or recreational facility.

– Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and facilities maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and groundskeeping.

– Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, guests, and vendors.

– Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

– Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively under pressure.

– Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Maintenance Lead

Lakewood Camping Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Lead to support our maintenance department in ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities and grounds. The Maintenance Lead will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate daily maintenance activities and provide leadership to the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in planning and scheduling daily maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance, to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment and facilities.
2. Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that work is completed according to quality standards and timelines.
3. Perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks as needed, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and groundskeeping.
4. Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement, and take appropriate corrective actions.
5. Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, inventory of supplies and equipment, and maintenance logs.
6. Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
7. Assist in training and mentoring maintenance staff on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
8. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or services, ensuring quality and timely completion of work.

Maintenance Department – General

While an individual may be assigned to this particular role, situations may arise which would REQUIRE assistance in other areas or departments.

For all positions in this department, safety responsibilities are to promote a safe work environment using proper safety equipment, i.e. safety harness, eye protection, gloves, etc., take responsibility for personal safety while carrying out assigned tasks, inform supervisor of any work related injuries, hazards or concerns at time of occurrence and attend safety meetings and weekly briefings as scheduled.

Expectations for all positions include the ability to follow written and oral instructions in a professional and timely manner, perform general duties on all facilities, infrastructure, and common areas, and positively communicate with all guests as well as co-workers. One must have a positive attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality of Company business, be able to work weekends, holidays or overtime as deemed necessary by supervisor and must be able to work maintenance/emergency calls on a 24-hour rotation basis as deemed necessary by the supervisor. May be asked to perform other duties in other departments as assigned by supervisor or manager.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Additional qualifications for this position include basic electrical, plumbing and phone/cable knowledge. Duties and responsibilities vary as assigned by supervisor.

SANITATION

Duties and responsibilities are to ensure all trash is picked up daily as scheduled, ensure all yard waste and debris is picked up as scheduled, as well as any other general duties as assigned by supervisor.

OTHER
 May be asked to perform other duties in other departments as assigned by supervisor or manager
