As the seasons change, so do our hours of operation. We want our guests to know what to expect during their stay, but please know these hours are subject to change. The Lakewood Camping Resort App is a great way to stay informed during your visit!

Information Center: Home to many of our fun activities, the Information Center is also a place to go to get familiar with our campground. Whether you have questions about what to do during your stay or need to borrow recreation equipment, the Information Center team has you covered! You can check out basketballs, volleyballs & more from the Information Center. We also have some quick snacks available for purchase inside.

On- Site Eateries:
The Trading Post –The Lakewood Trading Post is our seasonal all-in-one general store, where you can shop, eat, or just relax. Our 5,000 sq. ft. facility offers grocery items, RV supplies, fishing equipment, camping equipment, beach toys, snacks, swimwear, and souvenirs.

Beach-Bum Coffee House– Beach fuel at Lakewood Camping Resort just got even better as We Proudly Serve Starbucks™! Now, you can enjoy some of your favorite hot and cold beverages without ever leaving the resort!
In the mood for a quick treat? The Beach Bum Coffee House also offers a variety of pastries and biscuits.
August 7th thru April 2023:
Seaside Cantina – At our Seaside Cantina, grab a convenient lunch while you’re lounging at the pool or on the beach. You’ll find an assortment of favorites like tacos and quesadillas to take with you as you enjoy all our resort has to offer. There are also picnic tables available for you to sit and enjoy your meal.
We accept cash, card & Apple Pay.
Sandcastle Creamery – It’s easy to satisfy your sweet tooth at Lakewood Camping Resort with not one, but two ice cream shops on site. The Sandcastle Creamery is located along the oceanfront, just beside the Arcade. When this shop is closed, you can still enjoy more than 2 dozen delicious Blue Bell flavors at both the Trading Post ice cream shop.
Food Trucks – The food trucks along the oceanfront are all operated by third parties. These food trucks have the flexibility to change their hours as required by staffing and occupancy. We will continue to update you on their hours of operation on the Lakewood Camping Resort App.
Amenities:
Outdoor Pool: Grab a chair and relax along our Olympic sized pool. This space also includes a kiddie pool, a snack & drink shack and a live entertainment area. There are also private cabanas available for rent. Call the Information Center for details!
The pool will remain open after Labor Day thru the end of November. We will keep you updated on hours of operation on the Lakewood Camping Resort App.
Water Slides: A fun place for thrill-seekers, our water park features three slides. It’s all just feet from the ocean making it easy to go from surf to slide in a matter of minutes. Please note, that there is a height requirement for our Water Park of 48″.
The Water Slides will be closed through the late fall and winter. The slides will reopen for Easter weekend.
Lazy River: Float your troubles away on our Lazy River. It takes guests for a ride around our Waterpark.

Splash Pad: Our splash pad is a soaking good time! This is a great place for all the kids, big & small, to cool down. It’s located just outside the Information Center and behind the Outdoor Pool.

Indoor Pool: Our heated indoor pool is a great place to escape the sun in the summer or the cold in the winter! This oceanfront pool also features a jacuzzi and is open year-round.
Arcade: The Arcade, located just steps from the ocean, has new games for you to enjoy during your next visit! We have more than two dozen games to choose from. Our new reloadable game cards make it even easier to play & redeem your points for prizes.
After October, check the Lakewood Camping Resort App for limited hours during the holiday season and Easter. The Arcade will reopen full-time in May.
Rivertown Boats: The ocean isn’t the only place to enjoy water at Lakewood. We have five lakes! And right off the docks at River Town Golf, in Crater Lake, you can grab all kinds of watercraft (boats, kayaks, canoes) in which to explore, and get a little exercise. You’ll see turtles, ducks, and other wildlife. It’s a great way for the family to experience nature together! Let’s not forget to mention this amenity is included in the cost of your campsite or rental, so leave your wallet behind. Please be aware, boaters under 14 years of age are required to boat with a parent or guardian.
Bike Rentals: Lakewood has almost 300 acres of explorable fun. And there is no better way to explore than on a bicycle! In order to continue to provide this FREE amenity to all of our guests, please read the policy below carefully.

LAKEWOOD BIKE POLICY:
Rivertown Golf: Myrtle Beach is the Mini Golf capital of the world, but there is no need to leave Lakewood to enjoy this fantastic family pass-time. Lakewood has its very own 18-Hole Putt Putt course – Rivertown Golf! It’s a Low Country themed, riverfront course running along the bank of Crater Lake, and it is sure to be a highlight of your visit! You can golf every day if you’d like! The cost is included in the price of your campsite or rental.
Sports Venues: Lakewood Camping Resort offers several sports venues to guests. All venues are open year-round, weather permitting. For a full list of the sports amenities you can enjoy, click here. Can’t bring your own gear? Visit the Information Center to check-out sporting equipment.
High Steppin’ Country: High Steppin’ Country is the longest-running live show on the Grand Strand. And you can only see it in Lakewood’s Theater By The Sea – the only outdoor, beachfront amphitheater on the Grand Strand.
The 2023 regular season of High Steppin’ Country will open in June. Stay updated on the show with the Lakewood Camping Resort App or follow High Steppin’ Country on social media.
